Dr. Daniel Yao Dodzie Agbley is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Medicine, University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ho. He is also a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Ho Teaching Hospital, He was appointed Lecturer of the University of Health and Allied in 2014 and a Senior Lecturer since 2019.
Education
Dr. Daniel Yao Dodzie Agbley graduated from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences, Havana, Cuba in July, 1997.He had his Membership certification with Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeon (MGCS) as Specialist Surgeon in 2014 and later Fellow of Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons (FGCS) as Orthopaedic Surgeon in March, 2019. He has a certificate in Health Administration and Management in 2019.
Work Experience
He has 23 years’ experience as a doctor and practiced locally and internationally. In Ghana he worked in the Ho Municipal Hospital as In-charge of the Medical Ward and Diabetic Clinic. He worked in Palapye District Hospital, Botswana from 2004 - 2007 as HIV-AIDS Manager. In 2007, Dr Daniel Yao Dodzie Agbley helped in setting up the HIV Clinic at the Ho Municipal Hospital. He is currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in Ho Teaching Hospital.
Science /Research Interests
Dr. Agbley’s main area of research are degenerative diseases of bone and trauma resulting from motorcycle accidents. He has some publications which are yet to be published in the Ghana Medical Journal. He is a member of Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
