Dr Adu Appiah Kubi is a lecturer at the department of obstetrics and gynaecology of the school of medicine. He is a specialist obstetrician gynaecologist currently pursuing a fellowship in gynaecologic oncology in Ghana college of physician and surgeons and a general obstetrics and gynaecologic in west Africa college of physician and surgeons.
Education
He had his medical education in school of medical sciences, KNUST, Kumasi. He went ahead to have his residency training in obstetrics and gynaecology after his housemanship. Currently he is pursuing a subspecialty training in gynaecologic oncology. He also has a Commonwealth executive masters in business administration from Knust.
Work experience
He has over 10yrs experience in clinical practice in Ghana. He did his housemanship in KATH after which he started his residency in obstetrics and gynaecology immediately. He passed out as specialist from both Ghana and West Africa colleges. Dr Appiah-Kubi was appointed as specialist obstetrician gynaecologist at the B/A Regional hospital. (2013-2015). Whiles in Sunyani he also doubled as a part time lecturer at Berekum Nurses Training school. He also serve as a team leader in training of clinicians in Brong Ahafo on management of obstetrics emergencies. He came back to KATH in 2015 to start his fellowship. Currently he is a specialist and a Chief Resident at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, KATH.
Science/Research output
Dr Appiah-Kubi is very passionate about prevention and management of women cancer. He has research interest in cervical cancer prevention, genetics and ovarian tumor.
